After winning season 4 of Project Runway in 2008, Siriano established himself as a fashion designer to the stars, dressing everyone from Zendaya to Jennifer Lopez. Earlier this year, he achieved his dream of fitting Halle Berry with a gown for the Oscars. The actress, 58, stunned in a shattered-mirror creation featuring sheer panels down the legs and draped into a short train.
During the red carpet pre-show, where Siriano was providing commentary, he told his fellow hosts how excited he was to work with Berry and her stylist, Lindsay Flores.
"My entire career I wanted to dress one person at the Oscars, and that's Halle Berry," he said. "It's different for her, it's metallic, it's iridescent."
Siriano added that the dress had 7,000 beads on it.
